Description:
In a quotation, when adding a product, the user starts typing the product reference (e.g. “pump”). Odoo then runs an advanced search on the text entered (“pump”) and displays the search results in a dropdown (“pump 1”, “pump ABC” ...) plus a “Create Product” option. If the search returns no product, “Create Product” remains the only option available and a product is created when pressing Enter.
This behavior does not suit every customer, especially those who quickly type product references on the keyboard. The risk is creating unnecessary products.
This custom module hides the “Create Product” option in the product search dropdown.
