Auguria News

On 10 July 2025, Fabien Pinckaers announced that all Odoo Enterprise versions, old and recent alike, will now be supported indefinitely — bug fixes, security, technical assistance — unlike the former model, which only covered the last three major versions, i.e. about three years of coverage

Pricing Surcharge for Outdated Versions

  • From July 2025, all versions that are 4 years old or more (i.e., released more than three major versions ago) are eligible for a 25% surcharge on the annual Enterprise subscription.
  • This surcharge will only actually be billed from April 2026, giving companies time to plan a possible migration.
  • As things stand, Odoo 15, launched in October 2021 (and therefore now 4 years old), immediately falls into this category.

Who Is Affected?

  • Users of Odoo Online (SaaS) are not affected, as their instances are updated automatically.
  • The policy applies to new contracts or renewals on Odoo.sh and On‑Premise from 10 July 2025.
  • Odoo.sh now supports the last five major versions, instead of three previously

Why This Model Makes Sense

  • Companies can now choose their own migration pace: stay on a stable version or adopt the latest version to benefit from innovations.
  • Since support remains free for upgrades, this encourages users to migrate when they are able to, without pressure.
  • For integrators like Auguria, being able to offer official support even on older versions strengthens trust with customers.

What This Means in Practice

  • A company on Odoo 15 or earlier can continue at no extra cost until April 2026, before deciding whether to migrate or pay the surcharge to maintain support.
  • Those already on Odoo 18 or planning a migration to Odoo 19 will benefit from the AI features and modernized UX with no extra cost or delay.

Conclusion

With this change, Odoo adopts a more flexible and structured stance: lasting support for all Enterprise versions, combined with a controlled migration schedule. The release of Odoo 19, expected in September 2025, will mark the culmination of this transition, with strong AI integration and a modernized interface.
