Human resources management is at the heart of modern company performance. Between employee tracking, time off management, onboarding of new hires and continuing training, it is essential to have an efficient and intuitive tool. This is where Odoo stands out, offering an integrated, centralized and easy-to-use HR solution.
1. Time off management: simplify the process
Time off management can quickly become complex when processes are manual. With Odoo, each employee can request time off directly from their profile. Managers are automatically notified and can approve or refuse requests in a few clicks. The application also lets you track leave balances in real time, which eliminates confusion and guarantees full transparency.
2. Expenses: precise, automated tracking
Expense reports are often a source of frustration. Odoo greatly eases this process by letting employees submit reimbursement requests through an intuitive interface, and managers approve them in real time. This provides centralized expense tracking, improving the accuracy and efficiency of reimbursements.
3. Skills and resume tracking: find the right talent fast
Odoo centralizes information on your employees' skills and professional experience. Each profile includes a detailed resume and measurable skills, making it easier to find talent suited to a specific position or assignment. A valuable tool for companies with diverse teams and multiple projects.
4. Onboarding and offboarding processes: automate transitions
Onboarding new employees and managing departures can be time-consuming. With Odoo, these processes are fully automated. When a new employee arrives, a series of actions is triggered: account creation, equipment to assign, documents to sign, etc. When they leave, key steps (equipment return, access deactivation, etc.) are also handled automatically to ensure a smooth transition.
5. Approvals and remote work: flexible, customized management
Odoo lets you define specific approvers for time off, expenses and timesheets. With the rise of remote work, the tool also offers flexible work location management: configure remote work days, track attendance and manage remote working hours.
6. Planning and schedule management: a time saver for managers
Schedule planning can be complicated, especially for companies with shift-based teams. Odoo offers a planning tool that lets you define custom working hours for each employee. Swapping shifts between colleagues is also made easier, making the organization more flexible and autonomous.
7. Attendance management: real-time tracking
Odoo lets you manage and track employee attendance. Check-in and check-out times are recorded directly in the application, allowing managers to track working hours and analyze productivity. This feature is particularly useful for tracking field teams or remote workers.
8. Contract management and equipment tracking: everything under control
Odoo centralizes employee contract management, with automatic alerts for renewals. This avoids oversights and ensures smooth management. In addition, the tool lets you track assigned equipment (IT hardware, vehicles, etc.) for optimized resource management.
9. Training tracking and e-learning: develop your teams' skills
Odoo includes an eLearning module for managing training. You can assign courses to your employees and track their progress in real time. This feature is essential for companies investing in continuous skills development.
10. Org chart and hierarchy: visualize your structure easily
Thanks to Odoo's org chart, you can view the company hierarchy at a glance. Each employee is positioned according to their reporting relationships, making it easier to understand responsibilities within the organization.
11. Document and electronic signature management: gain efficiency
Send and receive documents for electronic signature directly through Odoo. Whether contracts, handbooks or non-disclosure agreements, everything is centralized, secure and accessible from the employee profile.
Payroll management in Odoo: a powerful solution, but not suited to local needs
Odoo also offers a native payroll module capable of covering a wide range of needs. However, at Auguria, we chose not to use it for our French clients, because local collective agreements are not yet fully covered by the solution. The legal and regulatory specificities of payroll in France require particular attention, which we prefer to ensure through specialized tools such as openPaye. This guarantees our clients full compliance and salary management with no legal risk.
