I am delighted to announce the creation of the French-speaking Odoo integrators association! The goal of this initiative is
- to structure and strengthen our community of Odoo integrators while allowing us to better position ourselves in the French-speaking market
- to support the growth of the Odoo ecosystem in France and in French-speaking countries.
Goals of the association
The association aims to:
- Build privileged ties with French decision-makers (MEDEF, CPME, etc.) to ensure active representation of our community.
- Improve our relationship with the publisher, to better relay market needs and make it easier to translate Odoo documentation and videos into French.
- Strengthen partnerships with schools and educational institutions to ensure a pool of skilled talent and train the next generation of Odoo experts.
- Increase Odoo activity in France and in French-speaking countries, at the expense of competing solutions, in close collaboration with integrators and the publisher.
Structure in strategic committees
The association will be organized around strategic committees, each with specific missions tied to the main development axes of our community:
- Publisher Relations Committee
Goal: Improve exchanges with Odoo, relay market needs, and push for the translation of resources into French. - Communication and Employer Federations Relations Committee
Goal: Strengthen relations with organizations such as MEDEF or CPME, and actively represent our ecosystem in these bodies. - Events Committee
Goal: Organize events and workshops to bring integrators together and promote Odoo to potential customers and partners. - Lobbying Committee
Goal: Set up lobbying actions to position Odoo with decision-makers in large French companies and mid-sized enterprises. - Training and School Partnerships Committee
Goal: Develop collaborations with schools to ensure the upskilling of future Odoo experts.
How the strategic committees work
Each strategic committee will have 3 to 5 members and will meet twice a month for the first two months, then once a month. All meetings will be held by video conference, making it easy for all members to take part, wherever they are located. Each quarter, a plenary meeting will bring all committees together to review progress and set upcoming priorities.
We are also considering creating local sub-committees to take regional specifics into account and ensure a presence on the ground. These sub-committees will relay the strategic committees' actions locally, organize events specific to their region, and work with local companies and institutions.
